Puppy Pre School classes are held for our clients by a team of both RVNs and student RVNs, with the aim of helping you develop your puppies’ socialisation and life skills. It is important to socialise your new puppy from a young age so they mature into a friendly adult dog. Socialising will give your puppy the best chance to grow up happily in the company of people and other animals. The group should be made up of puppies between the ages of 8-12 weeks, who must have received at least their first vaccination.
The first Puppy Pre School Classes took place earlier last year run by two of our team members, Hollie and Nikki.
The classes run over a course of two weeks and will be held in the practice on Saturday afternoons between 1-2pm. We aim to cover basic canine behaviour and training, along with basic health care information. There will be ample opportunity to raise any concerns or general queries. An important aspect of Puppy Pre School is socialisation and play. Our team of nurses allow time for social play in a controlled but fun environment. Some puppies will be more confident than others, so it is important to ensure that all feel safe and have a positive experience.
The course would not be complete without the Puppy Pre School Graduation! At the end of the course each puppy will receive a certificate for the completion of the Norwood Veterinary Group Puppy Pre School and one of our bandanas.
For any further enquiries regarding dates on which the classes are to be held, please feel free to pop in and speak to one of our staff members or contact us on 01482 882613.
We look forward to meeting your new Puppy.
